Descriptions

Located approximately 50 miles southwest of Kaycee, Wyoming in the Big Horn Mountain range, the Spring Creek Mountain Pasture consists of 1,080 deeded acres and 956 BLM lease acres. This 2,036 total acre property is a balance of grass valleys and steep evergreen covered hillsides at an elevation between 8,000-8,500 feet above sea level. This mountain property is home to many species of wildlife and may potentially qualify for elk, mule deer, and pronghorn landowner hunting tags. Multiple hunt areas merge on the property: Elk 48 & 120; Deer 34 & 35; and Pronghorn 73 & 115. Spring Creek meanders through the property for nearly three miles and is home to brook trout. A portion of the Spring Creek Mountain pasture known as Kidd Lake creates a wetland and pond which in years past was a larger lake home to perch. Hazelton Road and 33 Mile Road provide access to the property which lies in both Natrona and Washakie counties. The property has historically been used as grazing for 150-200 head of cattle from June to September and it is perimeter fenced and cross-fenced into two pastures. Just two miles from the headwaters of the Middle Fork of the Powder River, the Spring Creek Mountain Pasture features and placement in the Big Horn Mountains make it an excellent sporting and recreation ownership opportunity. Access should be considered seasonal depending on winter snow accumulation levels.
